“We recently held our daughters wedding in the NY Catskills, during the 2025 Fall Foliage season. Our daughter created a cohesive vision that would be embedded throughout all of the wedding events (Rehearsal Dinner; Welcome Party; Wedding Day Ceremony & Reception; After Party and finally the Farewell Brunch). Her goal was to strike that unique vibe and ensure that every guest walked away from the weekend with a long lasting memory that differentiated the experience from most traditional weddings. One of the best decisions we made, was to choose French Woods Farmhouse, not only to be our Wedding Weekend home, but to be the venue to start & end our wedding weekend. French Woods Farmhouse was also the venue for our Welcome Party as well as for our Farewell Brunch. Regarding the house & property... The attention to detail shown throughout the entire property is impeccable & impressive. The house is WELL stocked with all your needs, anticipating all scenarios & questions one would encounter while staying at their gorgeous home & property. For example… • Instructional Signs & Notes everywhere! The notes & signs, truly made everything so simple to follow & understand where things are, where they go & any instructions. We thought they really provided for a frictionless stay, and really eliminated the need to reach out. • Kitchen & Laundry Room Kitchen is well stocked with so many provisions (eg., pots, pans, coffee station (tea, coffee, espresso), utensils, overall supplies). The Laundry room was super helpful, modern & easy to follow instructions. • Technology - The farmhouse was equipped with just enough technology to balance disconnecting and enjoying time off, to having the ability to watch the news, sports or a movie as well as well thought out charging stations throughout the entire house (including supplying extra wires for phone charging) - Multi-Purpose outlets everywhere in the house & all bedsides, was awesome and accommodated the latest USB adapters. • Games Having a fairly comprehensive home game center was evident, allowing for rainy day or evening board / trivia games. We had way too many things going on during our stay and didn’t get to use any, however was impressed to see the collection. • Catskills ~ Things to Do Guides WOW!!! The way they curated the things to do while vacationing in the Catskills was over the top. The preparation on their website, along with a comprehensive binder of every imaginable activity that is within a reasonable distance to your farmhouse, was off the charts and I would argue that their Catskills guide can absolutely accommodate 100% of any guest interest & preference. (eg., hiking, health activities (yoga, massages etc..), alpaca farms, distillery/cider/brewery tours, private chef / cooking events, restaurants, pubs, and the list is extensive) • Farmhouse Décor The overall décor was incredibly impressive, demonstrated by carefully curated vintage pieces that were consistently themed throughout the house, balanced with the right blend of modern amenities. • First Aid Safety was clearly important for their guests, with a easy to find first aid kit/box like no other (that I actually used 3 times! ~ minor self-inflicted finger cuts ). The kit had everything for any/all minor incidents. • Fire pits ~ The fire pits were 1 of the highlights of our stay. The large size & sitting area made it irresistible to want to sit around and jus chill and stare at the stars. • HotTub ~ the hottub came in handy after a long day to relax. The temperature, jets and cleanliness made it inviting for everyone staying over. • Pond ~ that pond is such a tranquil place to just sit on the deck chairs, have a cocktail, regroup and gather your thoughts. BTW… this is exactly what I did on our last full day! • Welcome basket & note ~ what an awesome personal touch (hand written), and it goes far in how much they care about their property and their guests. • Overall cleanliness ~ last, but certainly not least… their entire house was extremely clean upon stepping in on our first day. Its clear that they prioritize this, as if they were staying themselves. We can't wait to come back! THANK YOU!!! ====================== For those interested in greater feedback regarding the wedding events that were hosted at French Woods Farmhouse, here are some additional comments: The Welcome Party & Farewell Brunch at French Woods Farmhouse, exceeded our expectations in kicking off the wedding weekend & wrapping it up. The property & layout was so conducive for our Welcome Party & Farewell Brunch goals, in getting our guests quickly immersed into a Catskills Wedding vibe. Some of the featured highlights included: - Full Cocktail Bar - Live Music - Curated Catered Food with Service - Random Gathering Spots for Mingling, Eating & Drinking (including tables, seating, as well as space within their newly renovated barn) - Spontaneous Lighting Elements (on driveway, pond, trees) - Continuous Video Clips, projected on to the side of the barn - Massive Fire Pits for chilling & watching the stars (this was a HUGE hit) And all showcased on a meticulously manicured property that provided our guests with epic views of clear skies, rolling hills, foliage changing landscapes & ponds, all in a secluded space from the rest of the world! All of this would not be possible without the continuous orchestration with the owners of French Woods Farmhouse (Bruce & Denise). Throughout the entire planning process, they were in constant contact with us, as well as coordinating several visits to fine tune all of the details including reviewing various property visuals, layouts & configurations. (They literally created backup layouts as well, in the event of bad weather) They also are well connected in the area, in terms of services, rentals & activities, so when it came time to finalize the many details, they made it SO easy & frictionless. It was incredibly helpful to have their help in coordinating various aspects (eg., rentals, catering, servers, restroom trailers, cleanup crews, parking). While we leveraged French Woods Farmhouse for the Welcome Party & Farewell Brunch, in hindsight we should have also considered the Rehearsal Dinner and After Party events at this venue as well! The space is very dynamic to setup differently for each event scenario.”
